The 92nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Orthopaedic Surgery
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 92nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) to be held on May 9-12, 2019, at PACIFICO Yokohama in Yokohama City, Japan.
The main theme of this congress is “The power of orthopaedics as the power of Japan.” We would like to emphasize the contribution and importance of orthopaedics to the promotion of the health and activity among all people regardless of age and gender in today’s Japanese society. Orthopaedics is also expected to contribute to medical care for top athletes, such as participants in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The sub-theme of this congress is “Open innovation through interdisciplinary communication.” We aim to foster open innovation in relation to orthopaedics through communication and collaboration with different fields of natural or social sciences in this congress.
This congress will cover the latest advances in orthopaedic problems, trauma care and all aspects of bone, joint and spine surgery as well as other exciting events, both educational and for your entertainment. We are currently preparing the scientific program, including plenary lectures, symposia, panel discussions, instructional lectures, and oral/poster presentations.
We truly hope that you will join the JOA 2019 congress in Yokohama and participate in the exchange of scientific knowledge and friendship. See you all in Yokohama.
